Open Data International Survey

This poll is being conducted as part of the research project ADEQUATe funded by the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG) under grant number 849982.

The goal of this questionnaire is to gather an extensive set of information on Open Data potentials and barriers. The survey takes about 10 to 20 minutes, depending on your willingness to answer optional questions. The questionnaire is divided into several categories and each category contains multiple questions. Mandatory questions are marked with a red star. All other questions are optional and can be skipped if you are not comfortable answering them.

Your participation in this study is voluntary. You are free to withdraw at any time at any time prior to submission of the completed questionnaire and the answers will not be saved in this case. All individual information provided will remain confidential and will not be shared with 3rd parties outside the ADEQUATE project consortium.  All collected data is stored on a secure server and only those, involved with the research have access to them. We reserve the right to publish aggregated, anonymized (i.e. leaving out any personal information) survey results online as Open Data.

IP-Addresses are not collected, and no identifying information is collected unless willingly provided. All questions regarding any identifying information are optional and you are free to skip them. If you however decide to provide us with personal information, mainly for the purpose of us contacting you individually for further discussion from the ADEQUATE research project consortium in the context of our project related research, we ensure that all personal data will be treated with confidentiality and not be shared with 3rd parties.

This website uses cookies, however they are not used to store any personal data.

There is no direct compensation for filling out this survey. However, it is hoped that your participation will help researchers learn more about Open Data barriers, which should provide general benefits to organizations and public institutions in using and publishing Open Data. We also make sure to publish our research results to the public. A national version of this survey has already been conducted in 2016 and the results are available here.

By starting the survey, you agree that you have read and understood these terms.
